MoCo Pride Center Serving the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community in Montgomery County, MD.

The MoCo Pride Center is a 501c3 organization designed to serve the LGBTQ (Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning) community and its allies in Montgomery County, Maryland. Our vision is to be the leading organization for LGBTQ resources and advocacy in our county. Our mission is to organize, support, educate, and provide outreach to the LGBTQ community and its allies. Happy Tuesday, Montgomery County! Sadly, there will be NO testing organization present today (6/2) at MoCo Pride Center, but that doesn't mean you can't still know your health status.

We have rapid HIV self-tests available at the Pride Center, as well as sexual wellness items like male and female condoms, instructional information on each type and about PrEP that you can still pick up for FREE on any day of the year. Our staff can also help you sign up for an appointment at the local health center for a full panel work-up, or assist you in filling out a mail-in test request form when you come in.

June is 🌈 PRIDE MONTH 🌈 and this is our first June as MoCo Pride Center in Bethesda! Pride is a protest, a party, and an important show of solidarity for the entire LGBTQIA+ community. We have so much in store for you this year!

First, some exciting news: Rainbow Youth Alliance is now officially part of the MoCo Pride Family! RYA facilitates our Caregivers of Trans Youth (CTY) support group and coordinates our Gender Affirming Wear program, and now they'll be partnering with MoCo Pride Center on future programming for LGBTQIA+ youth. Thank you to everyone who attended our County LGBTQ+ Town Hall in May! We appreciate your feedback and want to honor your stories. MoCo Pride Center now collects YOUR input with a Needs Assessment survey on our website. You can also find vetted external aid resources in our new Resource Directory at https://www.mocopridefamily.org/resources. All part of making sure we're serving our community the best we can!

We have special programming planned for Pride 2026, including a special Juneteenth celebration. Play bingo, attend a book talk, eat a free meal, see some drag artistry, learn your health status, and do more together in safe and affirming spaces. TONIGHT (5/28), Z-Club meets again at MoCo Pride Center. From 6 PM - 9 PM, join a safe and affirming space to transform yourself.

Z-Club is a social club created for transgender, gender expansive, and gender-nonconforming adults. Change your clothes, do your hair, and be who you want to be in safety and community with people that value you. This social club is hosted by trans community members that can empathize with your frustrations, encourage you in hard times, and share in your joys.

This is not our usual support group or social event; this is a private safe space. As such, we have special policies everyone who registers must agree to before attending. Please read our webpage carefully, and sign up using the form to join us. We are here for you!

TONIGHT, 5/27, join us at 6:30 PM at MoCo Pride Center in Bethesda for LGBTQIA+ Soul Circle!

This circle is intended to be a safe space where members of Montgomery County’s LGBTQIA+ community can regularly gather to discuss ethical, moral, and spiritual matters. Led by two experienced members of the LGBTQIA+ community, this program is free and open to people of any and no religion, and is not affiliated with any one religion or religious organization. There is no required preparation before each session, only suggested readings and mental exercises!

Head's up, Montgomery County! MoCo Pride Center in Bethesda will be closing early this coming Friday, 5/29 at 6 PM.

Want to know WHY?

At 6:30 PM on Friday, May 29, the MoCo Pride Family is going to be raising the Pride Flag in downtown Silver Spring to officially open Pride season! At a time when LGBTQIA+ communities, trans and gender expansive people, Black and brown communities, immigrants, and other marginalized people across this country are facing escalating attacks, gathering to raise the Pride flag is not just a symbol of celebration but also an act of resistance. Join Pride Center leadership and county representatives for this special evening.

And after the flag raising, the Emmy-nominated LIYT Nights & Drag Duels returns! Stick around for an electrifying evening of community, talent, and unforgettable entertainment!
