National Gaucher Foundation The National Gaucher Foundation (NGF) is an independent nonprofit serving U.S. patients with Gaucher

The NGF grants financial assistance, promotes education and awareness, supports legislation and provides vital patient programs, such as the Optimal Health Initiative. Through our CARE programs, we extend critical financial assistance to individuals with Gaucher disease. Some stories stay with you. This is one of them.

A reflection on loss, progress, and how far we've come in the fight against Gaucher disease. From a time when there was no treatment, to life-saving breakthroughs that changed everything—this is a reminder of the power of hope, progress, and gratitude.

Thank you to Charles for allowing us to share his story, and to every family in our community whose journey continues to inspire us.

Gratitude, in itself, is truly healing.
