đļ Join us at Sanskriti Baisakhi 2026 for a special sitarâtabla duet by Sibasish Laha on sitar and Arnab Gadre on tabla.
Sibasish Laha, a NASA scientist and recipient of the NASA Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal (2022), is also a deeply committed student of Indian classical music. He began his musical training with his grandmother, Ms. Pranati Nag, and later trained with renowned teachers including Pandit Arun Bhattacharya, Pandit Bimolendu Banerjee, Shakir Khan, and currently Kaustav Majumder. He has performed in Kolkata, Pune, London, Belfast, San Diego, and DC.
Accompanying him is Arnab Gadre, who has trained in tabla for over 15 years under Taalmani Pt. Mukundraj Deo ji. He earned his Tabla Visharad from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and has accompanied classical, semi-classical, and fusion artists, including UPennâs Penn Sargam ensemble.
