Happy 110th birthday to the National Park Service! 🎉

Entrance fees are waived today at parks that normally charge, and many parks are hosting special events to celebrate.

We're proud to help protect these places so there's always somewhere to explore. 💚

Happy National Park Week! Today's theme — America in Motion Monday — is all about the ways we move through this country, and one of our recent outings fits right in. 🛶

Earlier this month we paddled our way down the Potomac River! Local military families joined us for a kayaking tour past Theodore Roosevelt Island and D.C.'s monuments, several trying kayaking for the very first time.

We're grateful to the National Military Family Association for helping bring these families together, and to the National Park Service for a week that celebrates adventures just like this one. Additional thanks to Macy's’s for helping make this day on the water possible! 💚

9 days. 400+ parks. 1 big celebration. 🎉

National Park Week is here! From August 22–30, we're celebrating America's stories and the National Park Service, with Junior Ranger Day, a fee-free day on August 25, and more.

Curious what national parks actually are, why they matter, and how National Park Trust works to protect them?

We broke it down on our blog: https://parktrust.org/blog/national-parks/

She's visited 53 of the 63 national parks. Now she works for the National Park Service. 🌲

We met Clara in 2019, when she was a seventh grader joining our Buddy Bison Student Ambassador Program. Today, she's an Interpretive Park Ranger at Ozark National Scenic Riverways, leading ranger programs and sharing her love of parks with visitors every weekend.

She's the first alum featured in Parks to Purpose, National Park Trust's new series that catches up with alumni to see where their paths have led. It's proof that early access to parks can shape a lifetime of stewardship.

Is it even camp without a s'more? 🏕️

These Buddy Bison students got to experience the art of s’mores making, campfire fun, and exploring nature. Moments like these are exactly why we bring young people into the outdoors.

Help us bring more kids outside at parktrust.org.

Let’s go paddling! 🛶

Earlier this month, we teamed up with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Home Base to bring Massachusetts military families out on the Nashua River at Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge.

For some, it was the first time paddling in years. For others, it was their first time ever on the water! By the end, there was talk of buying their own kayaks and planning their next adventure.

This is the start of a new partnership connecting military families to their local national wildlife refuges.

It's SO much more than rocks and trees. 💚

It's the first time a kid sees a mountain up close. It's a place a family keeps coming back to, year after year. It's a landscape that holds stories and history. It's land that stayed public.

Here at National Park Trust, we acquire the missing pieces of our national parks — because everyone deserves a life-changing moment in one. 🌳

Forever a fan of this. 🥾

Some places just stay with you. That's the whole reason National Park Trust exists: to protect land like this and help more people experience it firsthand.

Share this with someone who loves these views too. 💚
