It is with great sadness, that Pallas is announcing it's closure. We do so at the end of 7 profitable seasons - the last of which was 90% sold out - in the D.C. area developing new musicals and assisting new musical creators. Without space for art, especially the American art of musical theatre, the nation will lose its soul.
We have learned a lot from watching other companies thrive and then close, and therefore, we are making the decision to close on a high -- with all of our debts paid, and assets to give another small company. We are thankful that Tracey's academic position will allow the new musical development process that was honed at Pallas to continue in the future in another capacity.
We thank the D.C. community for 7 years!
