Federal grants and funding rules are potentially changing, with huge implications for the disability community. Critical programs and research could be cut based on DEIA allegations alone. Please read our alert on how you can take action: https://aahd.us/2026/06/omb-federal-grant-rules/

Today we’re spotlighting a study from the Youth VIEW Team at Texas Tech University: Well-being and Health Among Low Vision and Blind Youth (WHALABY). Researchers are seeking participants for a study on experiences of children ages 9 to 17 who are blind or low vision and their parent guardian. They want to better understand how experiences in families, medical settings, schools, and the community may impact the health of blind and low vision children. To address these important questions, they need 500 families to join the project: https://evaluate2.ttu.edu/surveys/?s=CKLND7EACKNKWCNY

We’re joined by the Alliance for NIDILRR Grantees to demand the support that makes disability health and wellbeing possible.
