Montgomery County Collaboration Council We promote the well-being of children, youth & families through collaborative partnerships. Call our Resource Specialist at 301-354-4910.

Our work focuses on building a better community by:

Offering safe, quality and accessible after-school programs that inspire our youth to realize their full potential through a public/private partnership known as the Excel Beyond the Bell Collaborative. With our partners, we also strive to create and support a quality workforce in the field of youth development by providing trainings, resources a

nd higher education opportunities. To learn more, go to http://www.excelbeyondthebell.org

Reducing juvenile crime and the disproportionate number of our minority youth involved in the juvenile justice system through the development of new programs that teach positive behaviors, support parents and offer alternatives to needless incarceration. Programs like the Evening Reporting Center that provides supervision and services for youth with misdemeanor offenses during the critical hours after school. Connecting families and their children with emotional and behavioral needs to local resources to help them successfully remain in their home, school and community through our Pathway to Services and Local Care Team. Building an alliance that engages the community to create conditions to prevent the use of alcohol, to***co, and other drugs by youth. Are you under 25 and struggling to find or keep stable housing in Maryland? Or do you know a young person in this situation? Youth voices matter!

The Youth REACH Count survey is open now and closes Feb 28. This brief, confidential survey is a vital statewide effort to better understand the experiences and needs of young people across Maryland who are facing homelessness or housing instability – and we need your help to reach them. We encourage everyone to share the survey, engage youth where they are, and incorporate it into everyday touchpoints. Together, we can ensure youth are seen, heard, and counted.
