IAFF Local 1664 extends our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Firefighter Demair Lloyd.

Firefighter Lloyd dedicated his life to serving others, and his loss is deeply felt throughout the fire service community. Please keep his loved ones and all those mourning his passing in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

The staffing cuts to MCFRS aren’t just numbers on a spreadsheets, they directly impact firefighter safety, response times, and the level of service our community depends on every single day.

We believe leadership at every level had a responsibility to fight harder against reductions that place both firefighters and the public at greater risk.

IAFF Local 1664 will continue standing up for safe staffing, strong emergency services, and the protection our residents deserve.
