If you're an SUD treatment professional, you may be eligible for student loan repayment through STAR LRP.

Applicants must be:

1️⃣ A United States citizen, national, or permanent resident
2️⃣ Fully licensed, credentialed in an eligible discipline, and a registered SUD professional
3️⃣ A full-time employee at a facility approved for the STAR LRP

Last month, ASAM was honored to receive the 2026 Dr. James West Quality Improvement Award from the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP).

This award recognized ASAM’s ongoing commitment to advancing evidence-based standards through the development of The ASAM Criteria – a nationally recognized framework that supports patient-centered addiction care.

Former ASAM President Dr. Paul Earley and ASAM Criteria Editor in Chief Dr. Corey Waller accepted the award on ASAM’s behalf.
