🎶 Rhythm & Roots: A Reflection from Senator Alex Padilla 🎶

We are honored to share a special message from U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, who took a moment to reflect on the meaning behind this year’s “Rhythm and Roots” theme for the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association’s 33rd Annual Gala.

Our roots tell the story of where we come from. Our rhythm represents the movement, resilience, and progress that carry us forward. Together, they remind us that our history is not simply something to remember—it is something that continues to shape the future we are building.

Senator Padilla’s own journey, as the son of Mexican immigrants who grew up in Los Angeles and went on to serve in the United States Senate, reflects the power of heritage, opportunity, service, and perseverance.
