As we await the start of the final round of the 18th Annual Marlow Guitar International Myrna Sislen Youth Guitar Competition on this beautiful day in our nations capital area it’s time to reflect on some of the people that make this competition happen. Thank you Myrna Sislen for stepping up with enthusiasm to ensure the continuity of the competition for years to come. Your generosity is much appreciated and will leave a lasting legacy in the guitar world.

Thank you teachers for preparing and presenting your students. We are indebted to you.

Thank you parents for providing your children with support and the gift of music. It isn’t always easy but we can tell how much you care about their artistic journey.

And thank you to the board and staff of Marlow Guitar International. You provide time, talent, and treasure to ensure these contestants feel welcomed and respected.

Happy Sunday April 24th! We’re celebrating this glorious morning listening to music made by sublime young guitarists. Marlow Guitar International Myrna Sislen Youth Guitar Competition at the fabulous Crossway Community facility. Here are the programs 12&Under Youth division contestants are playing today. Oh, yeah, these are HUGE BEASTLY PROGRAMS, and many collegiate level players don’t take on challenges like these. And so masterfully played. Best way to spend a morning!!

The contestants in the Marlow Guitar International Myrna Sislen Youth Guitar Competition are always amazing. But none are more surprising than the Youth contestants, 12 YO and younger.
