MARK YOUR CALENDARS & COME JOIN US FOR OUR FAMILY-FRIENDLY 2026 SOCCER & BBQ FUNDRAISER!

🗒️Date/Time: Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 3-7:30PM

📍Location: Toca Juniors Soccer Complex - 3348 Big Woods Rd, ljamsville, MD 21754

🎟️Cost: $10 ticket covers entry and food (burgers, hot
dogs, etc.)

🤝Purpose: To raise funds for Hungry 2 Help - focus on local projects and expansion into Greater Baltimore area

⚽️Note: PLAYING SOCCER NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND (but you do need a ticket). Come hang out and be with community!

🥅Layout: 7v7 games - let us know if you’re interested in playing! All levels welcome

🚗Parking: Free, open lot available

Last month, Hungry4Change proudly partnered with the Venezuelan community to support families affected by the earthquake.

Together, we packed medications, baby supplies, canned food, and other essential relief supplies to be shipped to Venezuela. We are proud to stand with our community and grateful to everyone who made this effort possible. 🇻🇪🤝

Recently, H4C had the opportunity to participate in events at the and Theodore Roosevelt High School in Washington, DC.

At Theodore Roosevelt High School, we participated in a resource fair focused on supporting immigrant students and families. Community organizations came together to share information about immigrant rights, access to basic necessities, educational opportunities, and ways to get involved locally. It was inspiring to speak with students about their goals, connect them with resources, and learn about the incredible work being done by fellow organizations.

At UMD, we attended a career panel hosted by , where professionals shared their journeys in healthcare, lessons learned, and advice for students pursuing careers in the medical field. We were grateful for the opportunity to support one of our former volunteers and connect with students interested in professional development.

A special thank you to the educators, counselors, and community partners who made the Roosevelt event such a welcoming and impactful experience. We’re especially grateful for the connection that began at the MELLFIN event and led to this opportunity. Moments like these remind us how meaningful community partnerships can be.💙

We had an amazing time attending the MELLFIN (Maryland English Language Learning Family Involvement Network) event! 💙

Schools, organizations, and community leaders came together to share resources and ideas for supporting immigrants and English language learners. We loved connecting with so many schools interested in collaborating with Hungry4Change—some even invited us to future events to table and share resources with parents and students!

A huge thank you to the incredible leaders, Ellie and Youngchan, for creating such a welcoming and impactful space. Youngchan has always been so kind and supportive to us. One of the sweetest moments was when Youngchan invited a group of Korean senior women to make handmade fans for attendees… and they made one especially for H4C 🥹🪭

Such a meaningful event, and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

Serving warm meals and sharing smiles at Central Union Mission 💙

Founded in 1884, this incredible organization is the oldest food bank in DC—originally serving Civil War veterans and continuing to support many veterans today. Beyond meals, they provide vital resources like social workers and job training programs, making a lasting impact in the community.

Shoutout to our AU crew—Professor Vicky and Alex—for jumping in to help! And yes… Prof. Vicky made sure we didn’t forget to show off the hair nets 😂
