OVA App vs UVOTE App

There is more than one app online fighting election rigging in Uganda. The more people and apps fighting rigging in the Uganda elections the better for Uganda.

There is the NUP app announced by Bobi.

Please download and use that app as it is the official app of NUP.

We are independent of NUP but we work towards the same goal. We support the UVote app and its goals and look forward to seeing it on the Google Play Store.

Awamu Inc supports transparency in democracy and elections and have an app of our own, the OVA app, that is complementary to UVote.

Our app IN ADDITION to Presidential results the OVA app also takes results of MPs and Women MPs (which the NUP app does not do). We feel we need to help the MPs and Women MPs also avoid rigging in their races

Section 1.2.8 states:

1.2.8 Announcement of election resultsAfter filling the forms, the Presiding Officer will announce the results of the poll to everyone present. The Presiding Officer will secure a copy of the duly filled DR form for the Returning Officer in the Tamper proof envelop, place a copy in the black ballot box, issue a copy to agents of each candidate and display a copy at the polling station.

2) You can only submit results for the same polling station ONCE, so ensure accuracy.

3)You Must take a DR Form (Declaration of Results Form) picture to move from one category (e.g. MP) to the next category (e.g. Women MP)
