MCMA is more than a music school; it is a community that encourages people young and old to find and embrace who they are by learning an instrument, developing their own voice on that instrument, and then sharing their voice through performance. We combine a classical music education with a contemporary approach to provide high quality music instruction to students of all ages and skill levels in
a fun, relaxed, and creative environment. Our dedicated faculty provide outstanding instruction and creative mentoring to our students, building confidence and helping students feel connected to the whole MCMA community. Midcoast Music Academy offers both private and group instruction for ages 5 & up on a wide variety of instruments, including acoustic and electric guitar, drums, world percussion, hand percussion, bass guitar, double bass, piano, flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, voice, violin, viola, and ukulele. A few examples include teen a cappella, teen jazz, hand drumming, adult bluegrass band, teen contemporary ensemble, and kids pop group.
