Sometimes you have an idea that you KNOW would be incredible for your students, you just need the funding to make it happen.

That’s one of the reasons REEF is here.

Our Mini Grant program helps support educators with funding for projects, programs and resources that can create new learning opportunities for Rocklin students.

What is the Summer Civic Program really like? We think the students who experience it say it best.

One of this year’s participants shared that the program gave him a whole new perspective on how local government works and just how much happens behind the scenes to keep a city running.

From climbing the Rocklin Fire Department’s aerial ladder to learning about Public Works and touring the Placer County waste management facility, the program offered plenty to explore.

His biggest takeaway?

“I definitely will be recommending it not only to those who are interested in pursuing local government as a career, but to anyone interested in learning new things.”

REEF is proud to support opportunities that give Rocklin students new knowledge, memorable experiences and fresh ideas about their futures.

You might not realize just how many ways REEF shows up for Rocklin students.

From teacher mini grants and scholarships to programs that give students opportunities to learn, explore and experience something new, REEF provides resources that go beyond the everyday classroom experience.

And the best part? It’s all made possible by a community that believes in supporting our schools.

So the next time you see a student participating in an incredible program, a teacher bringing a new idea to life, or a graduating senior receiving a scholarship, REEF may have helped make it possible.

Your support truly makes a difference.

These students were recently recognized at the Rocklin City Council meeting after completing a summer filled with behind-the-scenes experiences throughout the City of Rocklin supported by a grant from REEF.

From learning firsthand how different city departments operate to meeting the people who serve our community every day, students got a unique look at what a career in public service can actually look like.

REEF is proud to help support a program that gives students opportunities to learn outside the classroom, explore potential career paths and see their community from a whole new perspective.

Congratulations to this year’s graduates! We can’t wait to see where these experiences take you.
