Troop 435 had an exciting and memorable week at High Sierra Summer Camp! Scouts spent the week working on a variety of merit badges and learning new skills while enjoying all that camp had to offer. In addition to the regular merit badges, Scouts had the opportunity to participate in some of High Sierra’s special and unique activities, including the fun Bacon Badge and Mustache Badge. These activities gave everyone a chance to have some fun and make memories outside of the usual Scouting requirements.
Throughout the week, Scouts also worked hard to complete requirements and challenge themselves. Several Scouts took part in a 5-mile hike as part of their requirements, while others prepared for the Mile Swim. The week was a great combination of learning, adventure, and teamwork, with Scouts encouraging each other and making the most of their time at camp.
Troop 435 also had some great achievements in Shooting Sports. Caleb Trick and Aiden both brought home High Sierra camp shooting sports awards for their accomplishments. Their achievements were a great highlight for the troop and showed the effort they put into improving their skills throughout the week.
One of the biggest honors of the week was Troop 435 bringing home the Baden-Powell Award ribbon, which can now be displayed on our troop flag. This was a special accomplishment for the entire troop and is a great reminder of the hard work, participation, and Scout spirit shown throughout camp. High Sierra was a week full of new experiences, accomplishments, and fun, and it gave Troop 435 plenty of memories to look back on!
