Okie Dokie Cafe Okie Dokie Cafe provides employment for people with disabilities while serving delicious coffee! ☕

They say building a startup is a balancing act, just maybe not this literally. 🤹‍♂️☕

Behind the scenes at Okie Dokie Cafe, we are working hard to launch a non-profit coffee shop dedicated to employing individuals with disabilities. We want to create a truly inclusive workspace where everyone belongs.

But getting a dream off the ground takes a lot of time, energy, and—you guessed it—perfecting our work-life balance.

Some days we are perfectly poised. Other days, we’re just trying not to drop the cups.

We’re so grateful for this community cheering us on while we build this space. We can’t wait to serve you (and promise we will use our hands, not our heads, to hand you your morning brew!)

If you get us started on our mission, good luck getting us to stop! 🫣☕️

Seriously though, if you’ve run into us at a local market, bumped into us at a community event, or even just stood next to us in line somewhere… you’ve probably heard the pitch. We are completely, unapologetically obsessed with what we’re building here.

We aren’t just opening a coffee shop to serve great lattes (though the coffee will be incredible). We are building a space dedicated to inclusion, belonging, and meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities. It’s the fire that keeps us going through the late-night work sessions, fundraiser planning, and grant writing.

We talk about it to anyone who will listen because we believe Brevard County is ready for this, and we know that building our vision starts with one conversation at a time.

So, consider this your official warning: if you see us out and about, ask us about the cafe. We will absolutely bend your ear, we will probably get a little emotional, and we will definitely invite you to be a part of the journey. 🤎

Every single person deserves the dignity of a hard day’s work!

At Okie Dokie Cafe, we believe that employment isn’t just about a paycheck—it’s a fundamental human right. It’s about community, purpose, confidence, and belonging. Yet, adults with disabilities are too often left out of the workforce, facing barriers to the meaningful and gainful employment they deserve.

We are on a mission to change that.

Okie Dokie Cafe is a nonprofit coffee shop dedicated to providing a supportive, empowering space where adults with disabilities can thrive, grow their skills, and showcase their incredible talents to the world.

But we can’t open our doors without you.

Right now, we are officially in our fundraising phase! Every dollar raised goes directly toward securing our location and funding the vital renovations needed to make our space accessible for both our team and our guests.

Here is how you can stand with us today:
Donate: Click the link in our bio to contribute to our build-out fund. Every bit helps!
Follow: Hit that follow button to watch our journey from blueprint to brewing.
Support & Share: Tell your friends, family, and coworkers about us.

Let’s build a more inclusive future together!

A little birdy told me...you should donate to Okie Dokie Cafe! 🐦

Every single dollar brings us one step closer to opening our doors and launching our mission. ☕️🤎

Our vision is simple and deeply needed: we are starting a nonprofit coffee shop dedicated to providing meaningful, gainful employment for individuals with disabilities. Our incredible baristas will be at the heart of everything we do, supported by dedicated lead baristas. We advocate that inclusive workspaces aren't just possible—they are essential.

Right now, we are in the thick of our startup phase, and turning this dream into a reality requires a village. Funding at this stage is absolutely critical. Your donations directly support our ability to secure a location, procure equipment, and complete the necessary accessibility renovations to ensure our space is welcoming and safe for everyone.

We can’t do this without you. If you believe in a community where everyone has a place at the table (and a great cup of coffee in hand), please consider donating today.

It’s the ultimate “did we just become best friends?” moment! 🤝✨

As a nonprofit coffee shop getting ready to open our doors, every single like, comment, and share from our fellow small businesses and community members means the world to us.

When you interact with our posts, the algorithm does its magic, helping us reach more neighbors, future customers, and supporters. More visibility means a stronger launch, which ultimately means we can fulfill our mission sooner: providing meaningful, gainful employment for individuals with disabilities. ☕️🤎

Want to help us get those doors open even faster? Head over to our website to make a donation and join the Okie Dokie family today! www.okiedokiecafe.com

The million dollar question we get asked every single day: “When are you opening?!” ☕️✨

The honest answer? We don’t know quite yet.

While we wish we could hand you a set date and an address today, the reality is that we are currently working around the clock to raise the necessary funds to secure a space and, more importantly, build it out to be fully accessible for everyone. Creating a truly inclusive environment takes a lot of intentionality (and a lot of capital!), and we aren’t willing to cut corners on our mission.

We are so grateful for the excitement—it truly keeps us fueled! If you want to help us get those doors open sooner, here are a few ways you can support the journey right now:

Boost the Mission: Like, comment, and share our posts! It sounds simple, but it helps new people find us and grows our community of supporters. 📈

Spread the Word: Tell a friend about the Okie Dokie mission.

Donate: If you’re in a position to give, every dollar goes directly toward our future home and our goal of inclusive employment.

You can find our donation link on our website or right here in our Linktree: https://linktr.ee/okie.dokie.cafe

Thank you for being patient with us and for believing in this vision. We can’t wait to eventually share the news with you! 🤎

Still reminiscing about how much fun the Down for Derby Gala was!

Did you notice our hats, headbands and fascinators? THEY ARE COFFEE CUPS! ☕️

It was so much fun representing Okie Dokie Cafe, especially by wearing these fun and elaborate coffee cups on our heads 😆 and this 360 Glam Cam was the perfect way to show off the ‘fit!

We had so much fun representing Okie Dokie Cafe at the Down for Derby Gala benefitting the ! Big shout out to for donating their sponsor table to us!
That table just so happened to be Golden Tempo’s - the horse that won the Kentucky Derby! Because we were sitting at that table, we won a lovely bottle of champagne 🍾 🐎

Co-Founder Elaina also had her ticket pulled for the 50/50 Raffle, which of course we were honored to donate back to this great organization. The Down Syndrome Association of Brevard provides amazing programs, classes and respite for families who have a member with Down syndrome. If you aren’t familiar with their amazing mission, check them out!

Huge thank you to for hosting this beautiful event and working hard behind the scenes for us and the other guests! 🌹

All in all, this was such a wonderful and very eventful night for our Okie Dokie Cafe crew! We can’t wait for the next gala!
