Orlando Health today announced plans for a new state-of the-art hospital and medical office building to be built on a planned 40-acre health and wellness campus in Viera. The project, Orlando Health Viera Hospital, will be in Borrows West between Lake Andrew Drive and I-95, just south of Viera Boulevard in Brevard County.
โThis is an exciting day for this region and for Orlando Health as we move forward with plans for this state-of-the-art facility,โ said Ohme Entin, president of Orlando Health East Region and SVP Orlando Health. โWith the addition of this new facility, we will continue to build on the level of healthcare services that the community deserves and has come to expect from Orlando Health.โ
Working closely with The Viera Company, Orlando Health expects to break ground on the project in June 2026.
โThe announcement of Orlando Healthโs health and wellness campus coming to the mixed-use commercial hub of Borrows West in Viera is a powerful affirmation of the vision laid out by our communityโs founders more than 35 years ago,โ said Todd J. Pokrywa, president of The Viera Company. โThis milestone reflects the thoughtful planning that has always placed essential medical services and new major employment centers at the heart of Vieraโs master plan. We are honored that Orlando Health has chosen Viera as the home for this transformative investment, which will not only meet vital healthcare needs but also provide new jobs in the community that serve as a catalyst for continued growth across residential, hospitality, office, retail, and dining sectors in Borrows West, Viera, and the broader Central Space Coast region.โ
