Men's Health Week | June 8–14, 2026

During Men's Health Week, the Southeastern Region of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. proudly recognizes and celebrates our incredible Jack and Jill fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures who lead, serve, and pour into the lives of our children every day.

This week is also an important reminder that Black men face higher rates of heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, prostate cancer, and other serious health conditions. Too often, these illnesses are detected late or go untreated because routine screenings and preventive care are delayed.

Our children need healthy dads. Our families need healthy leaders. Our communities need healthy role models.

We encourage our Jack and Jill fathers to make their health a priority by scheduling annual checkups, knowing their numbers, staying physically active, prioritizing mental wellness, managing stress, and seeking medical care when needed. Taking care of yourself is not just an investment in your own futureβ€”it's an investment in the generations watching and learning from you.

To all of our Jack and Jill Dads: thank you for your leadership, your love, and your commitment to excellence. This week, we celebrate you and encourage you to take charge of your health.

Your Health. Your Future. Your Legacy.

This Memorial Day, we remember the fallen and honor those whose courage, service, and sacrifice helped shape the meaning of this day.

The Harlem Hellfighters, one of the most decorated Black combat units of World War I, were not approved to receive the Congressional Gold Medal until 2021 β€” more than 100 years after the war ended.

Their story reminds us that Black communities have long modeled patriotism, discipline, and determination, even when full recognition was delayed.

As Jack and Jill families, we carry this history forward by teaching our children the fullness of the legacy they inherit.
