Eventually we will all be gone but before that time comes, we can do as much for those that in some way and form will be the future.

When we give children milk and cereals we are not giving charity we are investing in the future.

I received her message and I replied in person. We both suffer from high blood pressure.

But so you wonder why or how? Doña Rosa is take or give an inch, the same height as my Mother. Which would make her taller then my Fathers Mother, my Grandmother.

Yesterday, I posted this picture of some of the children whose life you have changed, I was overwhelmed when within minutes, Tamara Jarrett , Urania A. Torres , asked what it would cost to make them a piñata.

Two persons thinking the same thing is not a coincidence, it's a shared heart, love and human kindness.

It's remembering who you are and where you are from. It's how you were raised, what you were taught and deciding that there is only one path in our life, the path of good and compassion.

Thank You. May God Bless You.

I found a bag of "chibolas", in one of our storage boxes.

So as they were lining up for lunch, I gave them that tiny surprise.

When I was little, I used to spend hours playing with my friends, time would just go by.

Life was just simpler in those days.

This is what you have to look at, to understand why children suffer from two main forms of malnutrition/deficiencies.

Lunches that fillers are carbohydrate rich and poor in most everything else.

You can say, well it has beans, which are rich in Iron. The questions are: Just how rich? Then ask yourself what the difference is between plant based proteins and meat based proteins?

Then ask yourself where do you see the other 27+ macro and micro nutrients required by the human body for normal function and growth.

We base our recipes on creating a reply to those questions? That is what nutrition is all about, making up for the deficiencies.

One by one. Focus on the need. Not on the activity.

Why did these girls get shoes and others didn't. First, we only have so much money so we prioritize,

We ask ourselves who needs them the most?

That question is actually pretty simple to anwser, we look at their feet, when they come in for lunch, when we do home visits and we compare.

2 weeks a month is what it usually takes, before buying a shoe for one child. Why? it's not our job to give things away, it's our job to insure that the funds are invested in the best way possible.

There are two roads out of poverty and they both are based on the increase of income to cover the basic needs of a person or family.

Long term employment that provides a continuous income stream. Easier said then found, the limitation and obstacles for most poor can be reduced to one single parameter, Education, wether the lack of or of the quality received.

Long term employment that provides a continuous income stream. Removing these obstacles is what funding education is all about.

First move the child to an educational system that gives them the tools to succeed in upper education. Second, Finance upper education (university), which will open the opportunities for long term employment.

This is the system we are following and below are the results. What is the ROI of four years of college to 40 years of employment?
