🌊🧤 Beach Cleanup This Saturday! 🧤🌊

Join Surfrider Maine and the Brunswick Rotary this Saturday, September 5th, as we head to Mackerel Cove in Harpswell for a beach cleanup!

Every piece of litter we remove is one less piece that can make its way into our ocean and harm marine life. Plus, there’s nothing better than spending a Saturday morning outside while doing something good for our coast. 💙

Come join us! Bring your friends, family, and a pair of gloves if you have them. We’ll provide the rest!

We’re so excited to share a beautiful example of our ocean-loving community coming together!

Thanks to the generosity of , Surfrider Maine was gifted a collection of wetsuits—and we were thrilled to pass them along to in Kennebunk, helping make sure more people have the opportunity to experience the joy of getting in the water. 🌊

We love seeing resources find a new home where they can make an even bigger impact.

What a Weekend. 🌊

On the Ocean was an incredible few days of music, community, and action—and we’re so grateful to have been part of it!

A huge thank you to our partners at for bringing us into their Action Village and creating space for people to turn their passion for the ocean, planet and state into action.

Throughout the weekend, so many people took the time to contact their members of Congress, urging them to protect our coasts from offshore drilling and to stand up for the Eastern Seaboard by stopping seabed mining.

This is what ocean advocacy looks like: people coming together, learning more, speaking up, and taking action. 💙

We loved connecting with everyone who stopped by, shared their stories, asked questions, and added their voice to the movement.

Thank you to REVERB, and all of the artists, volunteers, and everyone who showed up and took action. Together, we can protect the places we love—from the shoreline to the seafloor.

Join Surfrider Maine and Portland Paddle on Wednesday, August 13 for an unforgettable evening on the water as we paddle into the sunset—all while supporting ocean conservation.

What an incredible evening! 🌊💙

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Patagonia in Freeport for our screening of The Right Whale: Tales of Resilience and Hope. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to learn about one of the most endangered marine mammals on the planet and the challenges they face.

A very special thank you to for creating such a beautiful and powerful film. Your storytelling shines a light on the plight of North Atlantic right whales while inspiring hope and action to protect these incredible animals for future generations.

We're also grateful to for hosting us, everyone who attended, and all of the volunteers who helped make the event such a success. From thoughtful conversations to new connections, the evening was a wonderful reminder that education and community are powerful tools for protecting our ocean.

Together, we're building a stronger voice for the ocean and the wildlife that depends on it. 🌎🐋
