Plan to have dinner at the Oceanside Snack Shack tonight - we went all out! Come watch the game, support the league, and enjoy some yummy food!

⚾️ Day 2 of the 2026 Maine Little League 8–10 Baseball State Tournament ⚾️

What a fantastic day at Gordon Field in Rockland!

The day began with Opening Ceremonies as each team proudly represented their district with colorful banners, team pride, and outstanding sportsmanship. It was a great reminder of what Little League is all about—community, teamwork, and making lifelong memories.

The action continued with two exciting games:

⚾ Bangor D3 defeated Machias D1, 9–4
⚾ Cumberland North Yarmouth D6 defeated Waldo D2, 11–2

Congratulations to all of today’s teams for their effort, determination, and great sportsmanship!

🎟️ The fun continues with delicious food, the 50/50 raffle, and some of the best youth baseball in Maine.

⚾️ Day 1 is in the books at the 2026 Maine Little League Baseball State Tournament in Rockland! ⚾️

What a fantastic opening day hosted by Oceanside Little League! We kicked off the tournament with two exciting games, great competition, amazing sportsmanship, delicious food, and plenty of fun—including our 50/50 raffle.

🏆 Game 1
Bangor D3 defeated Capital Area D5 in a thrilling back-and-forth matchup, 9–7.

🏆 Game 2
Cumberland North Yarmouth (CNY) D6 defeated S**o D4, 13–0 in four innings.

Thank you to all of the players, families, volunteers, sponsors, and fans who made Day 1 such a success. There are five more days of outstanding Little League baseball ahead, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Gordon Field in Rockland!

⚾️ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! ⚾️

Oceanside Little League is proud to host the 8–10 State Baseball Tournament, and with 11 games coming to Gordon Field in Rockland, we need your help to make this tournament a success!

This tournament is a major fundraiser for our league, and every shift filled helps support our players, fields, equipment, and future seasons.

Here’s how you can help:
🍔 Volunteer to work a concession stand shift.
🥧 Sign up to bring baked goods or a crockpot item (there’s a spot on the sign-up form to list what you’re bringing!).

Our biggest need is volunteers to help run the concession stand, so whether you can give an hour or several, we’d truly appreciate your time.

🥎💙 Better late than never and these girls deserve their moment in the spotlight! 💙🥎

While all the excitement has been happening around town, we realized something important!

Nobody ever gave a shout out to our First National Bank softball team for an incredible playoff run!

The girls opened the playoffs with a dominant 17-4 victory over Tides to Pines, earning their spot in the championship game.

They weren’t done yet.

Facing off against the Vinalhaven Islanders for the title, they battled their way to an 8-4 championship victory to bring home the win!

Congratulations to our players, coaches, and families on an outstanding season. Your hard work, determination, and teamwork paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of this group of athletes.

If you’ve been waiting for a Little League game to circle on your calendar… this is it.

The defending champions from Vinalhaven are coming back to defend their title. They haven’t lost a game in over 50 games and are rolling into town ready to keep that streak alive.

Standing in their way? The Lions, who have only ONE loss this season… and it came at the hands of Vinalhaven.

Something’s got to give tonight, and it’s shaping up to be an absolute battle you won’t want to miss!
