He was such a special soul, and touched so many lives. He made us all better golfers, and people! We felt the best way to honor his memory was to honor his philosophy of life—have a great time! With this in mind, with great success we held the 1st Annual Friends of Jim McMahon Golf Outing. It was launched on Jim’s actual birthday, of September 5th. We had a great time. The only tears that were sh

ed were those of joy in salute of our friend who will always be with us in spirit. His family flew in from Ireland, and so many friends and colleagues attended this splendid event. The event sold out in only a few weeks, and raised lots of money. Friends and supporters contributed to make this first event one to remember. All proceeds are held by the The Jim McMahon Charitable Foundation. A fund dedicated to supporting Rockland County children's academic programs. Proceeds and contributions are all fully eligible for 501c3 IRS Tax Exempt Status. The more money we continue to raise, the more we can help our children and keep Jim's legacy of teaching alive!
