We’re proud to help spread the word about Come Down From Up River, a special benefit for United Midcoast Charities at the Camden Opera House on October 23 & 24.

The play overturns an assumption about who will be prejudiced and instead shows the quieter, institutional form discrimination can take. Beneath the comedy is a strong message about belonging, dignity and the real-world cost of bias.

100% of the show’s profits will be donated to United Midcoast Charities to support the local organizations it funds.

That's a wrap on OMGLOL (OUT Maine Goes Live on the Lake) 2026, which happened two weekends ago now! This iteration of our fall leadership and advocacy retreat for youth was one of our most successful ones yet. Expanding upon our Dungeons & Dragons inspired workshop groups, this retreat encouraged high schoolers from all corners of Maine to explore complex social issues such as climate justice, violence prevention, and media literacy through the lens of a collaborative fantasy adventure. Participants practiced critical thinking and activism skills that can be used in their own lives to benefit their communities in the future. That's the point of it all; giving q***r and trans youth space to explore and advocate for themselves and those around them. 🌈
