❤️ Why Supporting Hospice Means So Much to Us ❤️
For Mama Mon’s, supporting Richmond County Hospice is more than simply supporting a local organization. It’s something that is very personal to our family.
My father battled emphysema and cancer, and as his health began to decline, one thing he made clear was that he did not want to spend his final days in a hospital. He wanted to be at home, surrounded by the people and things that were familiar to him.
Hospice helped make that possible.
They came to his home and cared for him daily, helping keep him comfortable while also providing our family with guidance and support during an incredibly difficult time. When his health eventually declined to the point that we could no longer care for him at home, he was moved to the hospice facility, where they continued to care for him with compassion, dignity, and kindness through the final part of his journey.
When you experience firsthand what hospice does for someone you love, you never forget it.
That is why the work of Richmond County Hospice means so much to our family and to Mama Mon’s American & Thai Grill. They are there for families during some of the hardest moments of their lives, and we are honored to support the incredible work they do for our community.
This is also why Mama Mon’s will be closing early at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 19th, so we can support the annual Taste of the Town & Dancing with the Stars event benefiting Richmond County Hospice.
