Our Richmond County Hospice management team values our staff and we know that if co-workers share a connection/bond they work better together as a team. So, each year we divide all of our employees into 4 teams for a team-building exercise/outing to foster relationships between staff members that may not ordinarily get to work closely together. The members for each team are randomly selected, and each group is led by 2 members of our management team. So far this year, two of our teams have completed their team building day.
The first group led by Hollie Smith and Jessica Mims conducted their team building on Thursday, May 28 at the The Christian Bookstore and Gift Shop by Bougie Believer-Tea Room. Jessica described their day below: The team was honored with a tasty lunch catered by Legacy Catering and Food Truck including chicken salad, pasta salad, fruit, and veggies. To round out the meal, dessert was brought in from Kool Kakes Bakery & Cafe, LLC. Chick-fil-A lemonade and tea offered refreshing satisfaction as a compliment to the delicacies. Our gracious hostesses, Michelle and Adrian, with the Christian Bookstore provided coffee and water and offered their crafting expertise to help us with our projects. If you are looking for a unique setting to host a small group, this space is certainly just the ticket. It offered a peaceful and quaint setting for some much-needed time of reflection and fellowship with coworkers. The beautiful and creative painted rocks and prayer boxes will be put to good use and will serve as a testament to teamwork. We hope everyone enjoyed this special time and we are thankful to all those that made it possible!
Yesterday, June 4, the second group completed their team building and was led by Marvin Taylor and Julie Woody. This group enjoyed lunch at Chapman's Food & Spirits before heading to Wee Pines Mini Golf for some friendly putt-putt competition. Julie says the following about their team building day: Service and food at Chapmanβs was amazing and then we headed to Wee Pines where the hospitality was nothing short of amazing! The Wee Pines team was so friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. They had prizes for anyone making a hole in one, a prize for the winner on each of our 4 putt- putt teams and even came around about halfway through our round with water for us! This is certainly a hidden gem in our area and if you are looking for a fun outing with family and/or friends you should really check them out! Our team shared lots of laughs and even some singing and dancing to the music on the putt- putt course. We hope that everyone enjoyed their afternoon away from the office, spending time together having fun and building relationships.
We look forward to seeing what the next two groups have in store for their teams!
