We made it our goal a couple years ago to have all 200 Rockford area registered Nonprofits on the podcast at least once to tell their story.. why they were founded and how they serve the 815 area.

As of today, we're up to 141 that have been on the podcast.

💜 Let’s make a child’s Christmas brighter!

Sisters by Love’s Christmas Cares Drive is underway! As we support women and families rebuilding their lives, we’re inviting our community to help bring joy, warmth, and comfort this holiday season.

🎁 We’re collecting:
• Toys for children ages 0–12
• Diapers in all sizes
• Coats in all sizes
• New or gently used clothing
• Other holiday items
• Monetary gifts to help cover house utilities

Donations are accepted through December 1. Whether you give an item, make a financial contribution, or share this flyer, you’re helping us reach more people who can make a difference.

Thursday was a record breaking day of making 26 children in the City of Rockford happy. Thanks to a team comprised of Christ Lutheran Church members we successfully delivered beginning at 8:00 a.m. and finished at 6:30 p.m.

This has been a week full of favor at the Sisters by Love house! 🙌🏽💜

To end the week, we were blessed by Leslie West - State Farm with laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, paper products, and personal hygiene essentials. The women are so, so grateful—and so am I!

Having these everyday necessities on hand helps ease the worry of one more expense as the women work to rebuild their lives.

Leslie, thank you for thinking of us and showing love in such a practical, meaningful way. Looking at these stocked shelves, I see God’s provision and a community that continues to show up. Our hearts are full! 💜

🎄 Our Christmas Cares Drive starts TODAY! 💜

This October marks one year since Sisters by Love opened its doors. As we celebrate, we’re inviting our community to help make Christmas brighter for the children we currently serve and children we may serve in the future.

From October 1–December 1, we’re collecting:
🎁 Toys for ages 0–12
🧥 Coats—all sizes
👕 New or gently used clothing
🍼 Diapers—all sizes
✨ Other holiday items

Monetary donations will also help cover house utility bills, keeping our home warm and welcoming for women rebuilding their lives after incarceration.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS: October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month - a time to raise awareness, support survivors and remind our community that no one should have to face domestic violence alone. Since the Family Peace Center opened, more than 3,000 survivors and their children have received support and services through the FPC.

This month (and every month), we stand with survivors, honor their strength and recognize the organizations and advocates working every day to help end domestic violence in our community.
