The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind residents impacted by the recent storm that a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will be open tomorrow from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Life Church in Roscoe.

This resource center brings together multiple agencies and organizations to provide assistance, information, and support services to those affected.

Residents are encouraged to bring identification and any insurance-related paperwork to help streamline available services.

A variety of resources will be available to assist with recovery efforts. Please share if you or someone you know has been impacted and take advantage of this opportunity.

We are here to support our community.

When every second counts, having the right resources on hand can save lives. Our MD-1 Emergency Response Program vehicles are among the first in Illinois to carry blood. 🚑

With this capability, Mercyhealth will be one of the few ground-based emergency response programs in the nation to equip its teams with this critical resource. The ability to provide transfusions at the scene of an accident or medical emergency can dramatically improve outcomes for patients experiencing severe blood loss due to trauma and other emergencies.

NWIMAT Team in support of the Kinder Morgan Exercise

August 22, 2025
Rochelle, Illinois:

TRAINING EXERCISE – LARGE TANK FIRE RESPONSE On August 23, 2025 in Rochelle, Illinois, multiple local, state, and federal agencies are participating in a coordinated training exercise simulating a large gasoline tank fire at the Kinder Morgan facility, located at 100 East Standard Oil Road.

This exercise is designed to provide a safe, realistic environment for responders to practice mobilization, refine operational best practices, and strengthen interagency coordination. While this is only an exercise, you may notice emergency vehicles, equipment, and simulated smoke in the area. There is no danger to the public, and all activities are being closely monitored by safety officers.

This exercise also offers an opportunity for Kinder Morgan to showcase its facility, safety systems, and emergency response plans to visiting partners and stakeholders. By working
together in a controlled setting, we ensure that our community is better prepared for real emergencies, protect public safety, and safeguard the environment.

Thank you for your cooperation and support as we train to keep Rochelle and surrounding communities safe. The exercise begins at 7:00 AM on August 23, 2025 and concludes at 3:00Pm on August 23, 2025
