Our kitties thank you! 😻😸

In the process of helping a community member catch a pregnant kitty, we caught “Big Orange.” We aren’t going to deny a kitty a chance at being spayed/neutered & vaccinated so we did just that! Once he was ready, he was released back to where he was caught.

11 kitties were spayed & neutered last week through our low-cost, public spay/neuter program! 😸

We transferred in a couple kitties who needed barn homes from one of our rescue partners. We took Orson & Astrid to their new home & per usual, we’re a little jealous! They get to live their best outdoor lives with a new horse & donkey friend on a beautiful property. Who wouldn’t want that?! 😻

These 2 brothers came to us along with their mom. Their mom was spayed, vaccinated & found a barn home. After several weeks, these 2 have shown they do not prefer indoor life. Thankfully the person who took their mom was willing to add the boys to their farm as well! We got them neutered, vaccinated & then dropped them off this week to their new home. They now get to live their best outdoor life with their mama! 😻

This month we’ve spayed/neutered 20 cats so far!
10 through our public spay/neuter day & 10 rescue kitties (kind of). Last week, we gave some of our spots to community members who finally trapped cats they’d been trying to get for awhile - who can say no to that?! One was a mama cat that the caretaker has been trying to trap for 3 years!! She was having at least 2 litters a year but thanks to her amazing caretaker’s efforts, she is now spayed & will no longer adding to the cat overpopulation!

We give lots of kudos to the community members out there not only taking care of cats but working to get them spayed & neutered. 😻😸

We had been contacted several times about this kitty & at least a couple more. Although we’ve done some trapping nearby, we didn’t see an ear tip on this guy so we knew he needed to be caught! 😻

~ to the very sweet girl I met, who was feeding "Bobby" and the other cats. I hope you see this post and know he is safe now, and people are working to help the others as well~

This is Bobby! He was a stray at a local business in Monroe. We trapped him and he was sent with Fortunate Souls to be fixed and vaccinated (thank you thank you to this wonderful organization) He was meant to be a TNR (trap and release) but Mike and I are kinda crazy, and with our shed arriving, we said "we will take him" (yes I know there is something wrong with us) He does not seem to be feral/wild...just terrified. We will work with him and get him fattened up, and go from there. He will eventually up for adoption. Updates soon!

We were contacted in July about a kitty who had been hanging around a home in Monroe. The owners of the home noticed she liked to hang out by a tree in their front yard. Come to find out, this smart mama gave birth & hid her 2 babies inside the tree for safe keeping! Once the kittens were old enough, the owners brought them indoors to socialize & find homes for them. But mama wasn’t quite sure about being touched yet. They were able to get close to her & sit next to her but couldn’t catch her.

We helped set up a trap for mom & thankfully we caught her! We assisted in getting her spayed, vaccinated & now she is enjoying indoor life!

They’ve named her Hibaku aka Hibby! She is enjoying story time & has been showing interest in learning to play. She has even been purring when interacting with her family. 🥰

Dickie has been with us for a bit because when he was neutered, the vet found he could use a dental as well.

He had his dental last week & is now on his way to rescue so he can be adopted. 😻

Whenever we have a cat in our care - no matter friendly or feral - we always complete any recommended care they need. Our goal is to set them up for a successful life & reduce any cost for our shelter partners.

Thankfully Dickie’s teeth weren’t too bad but it was still an additional $160.00 for us & our funds are low. If you’d like to donate towards his dental, any amount is appreciated.🐱💜

We helped these 4 kitties find barn placement this week! All were fixed, vaccinated & given flea preventative beforehand. Now they get to live a safer, happier outdoor life on a cow farm. 🐱🐮 And the best part - no more reproducing!
