We’re Looking Good, Thanks to Forest City Church!

A small but mighty group of volunteers from Forest City Church came to Carpenter’s Place last week and cleaned up the weeds, brush and debris that have accumulated over time at our Railroad Ave. building and parking lot. It was a huge undertaking, but now our grounds look so clean and inviting. Thank you to this wonderful group of individuals – your help was so greatly appreciated!!

Yesterday Northeast Christian Church hosted and facilitated a staff retreat for Carpenter’s Place! Northeast volunteers served a wonderful meal, provided DiSC training, and even surprised CP staff with an emotional testimony from a former CP guest who is employed, successful, and a member of Northeast. The day was filled with JOY, fun, and staff development. THANK YOU, Northeast (especially to Michael and Stephanie!)

Highlighting our Partners in Success Award Recipients:
First up is Bobbie Walter, our 2026 Helping Hands Awardee! Over the span of FOURTEEN years of volunteering at Carpenter's Place, Bobbie has been our main data processor for in-kind donations (among other things!) She has not only been a support to the organization, but has stolen the hearts of our CP team. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication to CP as a faithful volunteer we can count on! Congratulations, Bobbie!

Yesterday's Celebrate Success event was a wonderful gathering of Carpenter's Place supporters, and a community that sees the importance of helping the homeless and families in crisis. We congratulated award winners, and attendees pinned their leaves on our CP Gratitude Tree! We are Rooted in Gratitude for everyone who gathered to raise critical funds for Carpenter's Place!

Introducing our ‘ROOTED IN GRATITUDE’ bracelets that will be revealed exclusively at our Celebrate Success event on 9/22! Thanks to an incredible volunteer, all the proceeds from this bracelet support our Women’s Housing Program! When the beads are strung and the knot is tied, a prayer is said for those women and the future owner of the bracelet. A wonderful gift for yourself or others! Men’s and Women’s are available - get yours on 9/22! Register here: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/carpentersplace/event/celebrate26/

GRILLED TO PERFECTION!
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church once again packed up their grills and headed to Carpenter’s Place for a brat cook-out for our guests. Yum!! What a special treat this is and a great way to end the summer. Our Savior’s Lutheran Church was amongst the first churches to support CP and we are very grateful!
