Thank you, Carl Gnewuch, for hosting a Personal Management Merit Bage workshop for our Nearly 20 young people gathered to learn about personal finances and building a healthy relationship with money, saving, and spending. We are excited to see them put the classroom lessons into practice in their daily lives.

This workshop was provided to Scouts at no cost through the generosity of Carl Gnewuch, Edward Jones Financial Advisor, as part of his commitment to Scouts of Blackhawk Area Council as a Gold Merit Badge Sponsor.

Blackhawk Area Council Executive Board Member and Past Council President Ray Warren received the Silver Antelope today at the National Annual Meeting.. Another one of our Executive Board Members, Dave Savone who is also a Silver Antelope recipient attended and represented our council as well.

Huge thank you to Scouting America, Blackhawk Area Council members and Platteville Girl Scouts who spent the morning collecting food donations for those in need for the Platteville Food Pantry at Lutheran Church of Peace

A special thanks as well to those who made it possible for the Pioneer Pantry at UW-Platteville to take usable, expired products and give them a second chance. Together, we rescued 437 pounds of food and kept it out of the dumpster - turning potential waste into hope for others.
