This initiative is built on the belief that education is the key to regional vitality and economic development. Rockford Promise offers
• an incentive for students to graduate from high school,
• the opportunity for a post-secondary education,
• hope for a career and economic stability,
• a reason for companies to stay or relocate to our community as the pool of potential employees have higher educational achievement, and

We were honored to receive the Ignitor Award from The 1834 Alliance this evening.

The 1834 Alliance celebrates the dreamers and doers who are helping shape the future of the Rockford region, and we are grateful to be recognized alongside so many individuals and organizations making a difference in our community.

This honor belongs to the founders who imagined what was possible, the donors and volunteers who invested in that vision, and the countless partners who have walked along Rockford Promise. We stand on the shoulders of those who believed that expanding access to higher education could transform lives and strengthen our community.

As we look ahead to celebrating 20 years of Rockford Promise, we’re proud to continue that work on behalf of our Scholars and alongside a community that continues to believe in their potential.
