The Phantom Regiment Alumni Association Board of Directors is taking nominees to be apart of our board!!!
REQUIREMENT: You must have performed at least one full competitive season with a Phantom Regiment corps.
TERM:
Directors are elected by the Board for a three-year term with one-third of the Board being elected each year. Each new board member’s term will start in January.
MEETINGS:
The Board of Directors meets every month except during the summer. These meetings are generally via Zoom and last approximately one hour. In The November meeting of the Board, or such meeting in lieu thereof as may be designated by the Board, is the annual meeting for the purpose of electing officers, Directors and for the transaction of such other business as may come before the meeting.
PRAA PURPOSE:
A social organization to preserve the heritage of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and to allow members of the organization an outlet for continued contact. The organization will also serve as a fund raising vehicle for the Phantom Regiment.
COMMITTEES:
The PRAA has a list of committees that support the function of our association. Those committees are: Executive, Communications, Events, Governance/Nominating, Finance/Audit, Membership, Technology and History.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Some of the PRAA activities include maintaining and preserving the history of the Phantom Regiment. This includes uniforms, photos, video and artifacts. At the end of each competitive season the PRAA presents the age outs with a gift bag welcoming to the alumni association. The events committee has a list of activities it oversees. The annual Show of Shows alumni musical presentation, the gathering in Dekalb, the alumni tent at various shows and DCI. The last few years the PRAA has hosted the Silent Auction at the Hall of Fame as a fundraiser for our association. This is just a partial list of what our the PRAA facilitates each year.
