Here’s our quick story, Matthias was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome. He was diagnosed at 20 weeks gestation. We started life in Oak Lawn then at 12 months we were sent to Luries where we were told he needed a heart transplant. We waited for 6 months and on October 2, 2015 we got “the call”. Surgery happened that night and unfortunately his new heart didn’t work the way it should. He wa

s ok ECMO for 2 weeks and in those two weeks he had seizures and we then were told we had no choice but to say goodbye. He was 18 months old, my little monster. I need him back.
