🚲 World Bicycle Day

Today we’re celebrating how a simple set of wheels can become a source of income and independence.

Through a SowHope‑funded project in India, women were trained to collect and sort waste using three‑wheeler tricycles, turning recycling into reliable income.

One woman, Kuty, shared:
“Before, I didn’t know about this way of earning money. I was begging on the street… Now, I am earning for myself.”

With her new income, she repaired her home and bought a good bed — things we might take for granted, but for her, they are steps toward dignity that once felt out of reach.
