Here's a little history discovered while researching for my book. There is a story behind the name, and behind the entire effort.

When I retired in 2018 as the Founder/CEO, I didn't give a lot of thought to the legacy of the organization and all that it involved. Now, for various reasons, I have decided that it would make sense to codify the history of the organization, its activities during my 26 year tenure, and all that goes with that. Since there is no one left at the organization who knows the details of the genesis of Midwest Correctional Services/Comprehensive Community Solutions, it seems incumbent upon me to create such a permanent record for posterity.

As someone who volunteers at a local historical museum cataloguing artifacts of local organizations, I have decided to donate all of my archival information and items to them so as to preserve an accurate record of the how/when/where/why for future generations.

If you were a participant, staff, board or volunteer with Midwest Correctional Services/Comprehensive Community Solutions and feel so inclined, send me a message here, or email me with anything you may want to share. Anecdotes, photos, stories are all welcome. I intend to complete the book in 2025 and publish it by this time next year.

History is SO important and it deserves to be recorded accurately and shared for the common good.
