Today, as our team enters the final week of school-year programming, before all the summer fun starts, we took some time to reflect on God’s faithfulness. We’re continually in awe of all that God has done and is doing in the lives of youth and in YFC. One incredible opportunity we’ve had this year is to see the City Life Center go from a prayer and a dream, to a building being built with care, to where we see it today, a safe place for youth to find belonging and encounter the love of Jesus. Here’s what some of our youth had to say about their experience at the City Life Center.

On a normal day of YFC ministry you’ll likely see a majority of our team dressed casually. You never know when you need to be ready to show the youth how it’s done on the basketball court — just saying.

Last week the team got all dressed up though for the annual YFC Banquet. We shared highlights and stories and celebrated all that God is doing in the lives of young people at YFC. This week we’re still celebrating. We’re over 80% of the way to our $125,000 matching gift goal! Thank you!

The matching gift will remain open until at least the end of the month and who knows… maybe if we hit the goal we can convince our Executive Director Haddon Anderson to play a game of basketball in a suit. Bible donation request ‼️ Our team is looking for donations of large print NLT Bibles, especially the ones listed below! Not only would we love to have more on hand, but more youth are actually requesting a Bible of their own. Not to mention that camp is in 16 weeks and 3 days (but who’s counting…) and there will likely be a need for more Bibles following that.

If you would like to help us provide nice, new Bibles for young people you can purchase from the list below or from your favorite book seller and have them sent straight to us at 2501 Charles St. Rockford, IL 61108 or drop them off at the City Life Center. Thank you in advance!
