Today, Colleen Carlson will be in attendance via zoom for October’s Guild Meeting!

A little about Colleen:
Colleen Carlson started sewing in 4-H and started to quilt at the insistence of a girlfriend in 1999. She enjoys making projects in many styles. Her work has been juried into shows in Houston, Paducah, Road to California, and QuiltCon. Colleen is a pharmacist and has taken art classes at her local university. She is a Certified Quilt Judge with NACQJ. She travels to judge quilt shows and Zooms with guilds across the United States. Colleen lives in Grand Forks, ND with her husband and they have two grown children.

SPECIAL NOTE: The afternoon and evening presentations will be different.
Can’t make both? Attend 1 or BOTH via Zoom!!

Zoom Lecture Afternoon:
A Pattern is Just a Suggestion
Patterns are a fantastic option with instructions and mathematics provided. However, specific needs or creative ideas lead us to use patterns as a tool to develop our own ideas. Colleen walks from minor changes to large leaps in this Zoom lecture.

Zoom Lecture Evening:
Tips for Precision Piecing
Durability and attention to detail create projects that stand the test of time and are a joy to have to share with others. Perfection is not the topic. Learn tips and skills to consider for your future projects.
