Juneteenth remains important today not only as a celebration, but also as a force of activism and resistance. Black Americans continue to face marginalization and unfair treatment. Equality is not a passive value or a past achievement. It is an ongoing cause that we must work towards each day until all are truly treated equally.

One of the ways that we can act in alignment with that goal is through self-education, as Juneteenth offers us an invitation to delve into its history. This is also a great time to get involved with local events and celebrations. Learning more about one another makes our community stronger, more connected, and better equipped to support each other.

🔥 Beat the Heat Online Auction is Coming! 🔥

Womanspace's annual Beat the Heat Online Auction returns July 20 at 12:00 PM through July 31 at 9:00 PM, and we're currently seeking donations to help make this fundraiser a success.

We're especially looking for:
- Experiences (tickets, classes, tours, outings, getaways, and other memorable opportunities)
- Gift cards and gift certificates
- Memberships and subscriptions

These donations are always popular with bidders and help us raise the greatest support for Womanspace programs and services.

We also welcome new, unique, or special items with broad appeal that would make exciting auction offerings.

If you own a business, offer a service, create something special, or simply have an item you'd like to donate, we'd love to hear from you!
