Now that the election is over and the dust has settled, what is our hall going to change to engage nearly half the membership that wanted a new direction by voting for new leaders?
The first general membership meeting was unsuccessful do to no quorum (not enough members attending). This shows the disconnect that our hall has with its members. Instead our "leaders" post derogatory comments on social media. Posts directed towards the 325 Teamsters United team that was on the front line for nearly half the voting membership. The 325 Teamsters United team wasn't just a slate, it was a movement of many, many members that feel the passion to change the future of our local. Stopping the decline of members, empowering members, welcoming members to be active, educating members and being active with the rank n file.
Keep your leaders honest and liable. Keep them working for you. Keep them responsible for their actions. But most of all, make them represent you and fulfill their honorary duties that get paid so handsomely to do.

Reflection. After 90% of the ballots being counted 325 Teamsters United received 40% of them votes. The remaining ballots were statistically going to be 3 to 1 for 325TU. Unfortunately over 60% of the members of our Local were not engaged in the Union enough to cast their ballot. This is a fail for the Hall. This apathy in our Local should not be. True leadership would get their members to engage in the future of their Union. The small margin of victory for the incumbents should be a huge wake up call. No time to celebrate. The time is now to get to work for the members and fulfill the needs that was wanted by them that 325TU was offering.
To ALL members that voted, thank you for caring enough about your Local to vote.
To all the members that voted in favor for 325TU, we give you a special thank you. Thank you for stepping forward to make your voice heard. Thank you for not being concerned with retaliation. Thank you for expressing your aspirations for our Local. Thank you for all your donations and support you gave in many variations. You all supplied the fuel for this campaign, not "black money", not companies interests, not anyone but Proud Teamsters fueled our attempt to regain our Local. Make your Union Representatives fulfill their duties. It should be an honor and a privilege of theirs to service the members. Keep your head up Brothers and Sisters the Teamsters are coming.!!

325 Teamsters United was unsuccessful today. The voters certainly had a strong turn out, but not enough for our slate. 39% voter turn out from 325 members. Calvert slate won by 47 ballots. Every vote counts.!! Thank you all for your support throughout the campaign. We kept it above the belt and remained respectful. 325 Teamsters United will remain your brothers and sisters. See you all out there on the job.

24 hours away from knowing the outcome of the Local 325 election. Your 325 Teamsters United Slate is ready. Ready to make change at our Local. Ready to lead by example. Ready to empower members. Ready to grow our Union. Ready to take our Local back from dictatorship. Ready to have the honor of serving the members of this great Union.

3 days until vote count. At this point most ballots that are going to be returned are already in the PO Box. If there are any members out there that haven't voted yet, now is the time. That ballot must be hand dropped at USPS Harrison location to have it make it to the PO Box undoubtedly. Ask your Brothers and Sisters. Have you voted? If not, you know what needs to be done from there.

6 DAYS until ballot count day.!! We can't stress enough the importance of voting. Don't leave that ballot lay around. Mail it!! Understand that unless you drop your ballot off at the USPS on Harrison Avenue your ballot will certainly take a few days or more to get delivered to the PO Box.
