We will be CLOSED 10/6-10/13 and reopen 10/14 to the public. We will still be needing volunteers during this time. A HUGE thank you to our landlord and the parks Kiwanis for allowing this to happen. We truly need to focus on getting a fundraiser together, paid sponsors, handbook for volunteers, social media material, and get special free shop items, holidays, to their appropriate storage units. This could also include much needed rules for the Free Shop and Drop offs to make sure everything runs smoother. Unfortunately we haven't been making what is needed to operate and if we cannot get sponsors or a fundraiser to keep us going we will be having to close our brick and mortar. At least least until we are able to acquire them and get a building again. We are in high hopes that having time to get things done that is needed that we won't have to close. However, we haven't been getting what we need and with winter it will be that much harder! We have been fortunate enough to have had monetary donations come in to stay up with the rent but other expenses are piling in and it's getting much harder to even make rent. Our goal wasn't to have our donation shop long term. It was to be until we could get sponsors however with 6 days a week, all the events/special free shops/pop ups, and all the extra the media doesn't see we haven't been able to focus on sponsors. Were hopeful that taking the week off, unless there's an emergency situation, to focus on that and getting things back in order we'll be able to come out stronger and keep going. If we are unable to do so we will be closing our brick and mortar at the end of November. However we will still be active in the community with Special Free Shops and Pop up Free Shops. We hope you know this wasn't an easy decision to make but it is a very necessary one to keep us going. Thank you for all the years of support and being a part of what this has become!
