Mayor Mulligan has directed that the Rockaway Borough Community Center be opened to assist residents who may need a place to cool off or charge their electronic devices during the ongoing heat wave.

If you or someone you know could benefit from these services, the Community Center is available today from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 21–25 Union Street.

Please take a few moments to check on your neighbors—especially seniors, individuals with medical conditions, and those without air conditioning—and let them know this resource is available if they need it. Stay safe, stay hydrated, and look out for one another.
