25th Anniversary of 9.11.01
Never Forget.
On September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners, striking the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, after passengers and crew fought back aboard Flight 93. As we mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, we remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost and honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, military members and other first responders who answered the call.
In the face of unimaginable danger, thousands of responders, medical professionals, rescue workers and volunteers demonstrated extraordinary courage and selfless service. Today, we honor those who were lost, those who courageously responded, and the families forever changed by that day.
25 years later, we will never forget their courage, service and sacrifice.
