🦋 Eden's Harvest at Death Farms is on a mission to make our community a better, healthier, and more sustainable place. They do this by practicing permaculture, a way of managing land that reflects how thriving natural ecosystems work.

And they don't stop there; Eden's Harvest at Death Farms offers the opportunity for folks to come, explore, and learn techniques they can take back to their own space. On a tour, folks can learn about:

🪱 the importance of topsoil and composting ideas that work in any space,
🐷 how rotational grazing works to manage and fertilize land,
🐰 how cutie bunnies are (and how valuable their p**p is),
🐓 ways to treat your free-range chicken while growing topsoil,
🌱 the power of creating natural water reservoirs in berms,
🌰 native plants,
🐦‍⬛ and natural pest control.

Beyond bringing educational opportunities to Northwest Georgia, Eden's Harvest has donated 100% of its produce to help fight food insecurity.

They offer events where you can meet the animals and explore a way of life that feels (and does) good for everyone. Have an event coming up? Eden's Harvest is the perfect place to create memories, from family reunions to corporate retreats. Folks will leave inspired and ready to do good.

✨Eden's Harvest at Death Farms is just one of the ways to explore Walker County!

⛳️ A true hole-in-one kind of experience that bridges old and new styles 🙌
📍Walker County, Georgia

✨The City of LaFayette's Golf Course offers a true treat for folks looking to escape the noise. Peaceful and just ✌️ two hours from Atlanta, Knoxville, & Birmingham. The perfect weekend escape.

Looking for an 18-hole course that highlights the history of old-school golf and a modern edge? LaFayette is totally worth adding to your course you've got to experience list. The front 9 (built in the 1930's - yes, that's nearly 100 years ago) is a nod to the game's roots, where finesse mattered more than power. The back 9,, designed by Arthur Davis is the "new school side" - it stretches longer and rewards smart play.

To put it simply, you don't have to get with this or that. You can get with both (and more) at the City of LaFayette's golf course.

Open daily (minus Christmas).

😎 See ya on the green!

🎨 You may have noticed some extra art happening in Walker County! We are so excited for our newest mural by Jonathan Bidwell.

📍Located in downtown Chickamauga, it features the Wilder Tower, which you can easily access from downtown thanks to the newly opened John Culpepper Chickamauga Battlefield Connector Trail.

🚲Take a moment to enjoy this incredible piece (maybe snag an ice cream at Droop Scoops) and do your own re-creation of it at the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park.

Chickamauga Creek Farms is a veteran-owned farm focused on growing fresh, sustainable food using aquaponics, permaculture, and plenty of hard work.

Between fresh eggs, raised beds, and the sound of chickens carrying on out back, there’s something comforting about knowing your food was grown close to home.
