Ever heard of the Lost Wall?

For years, it sounded more like a mountain legend than a real place. Then you round a bend on Pigeon Mountain and there it is — a massive rock face rising out of the woods, quiet and impressive in a way photos can barely capture.

Weekend Inspiration Time! The Blue Hole Trail, located in the Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA, is a short hike at just over 2 miles round trip, but it packs a lot into those miles — rocky paths, thick woods, and some incredible views! It’s considered moderately challenging, so wear good shoes and take your time on the uneven spots.

If you’ve been needing an excuse to get outside for a few hours, this one’s hard to beat.

Don’t forget about Saturdays at the LaFayette Farmers Market!

From 9 AM–1 PM, the pavilion fills up with fresh produce, homemade baked goods, local meat, and handmade crafts. With around 60 vendors each week, it’s one of those places where you come for tomatoes and somehow leave with peach jam, fresh bread, and a conversation you didn’t expect to enjoy so much.

There’s live music every Saturday morning from the stage across from the green space, and the all-weather pavilion means the market goes on rain or shine.

Tomorrow, downtown LaFayette comes alive for the 2026 Honeybee Festival.
From 9 AM until late in the evening, the streets will be packed with live music, local artists and makers, good food, kids activities, and plenty of hometown charm. You’ll hear music drifting through downtown, smell barbecue and kettle corn in the air, and probably run into half the county before the day’s over.

It’s free, family-friendly, and one of those days that just feels like summer in small-town Georgia.
