Online conversations can be valuable ways to stay informed and share perspectives. But there’s something powerful about stepping away from the screen and getting involved—meeting people, listening to different viewpoints and learning how our community actually works.

For 35 years, the Walker County Chamber of Commerce—a separate nonprofit organization made up of member businesses—has been bringing people from all backgrounds together to learn more about Walker County, its challenges and its potential.

Through Leadership Walker County, participants spend 10 months learning about our nonprofits, manufacturers, small businesses, tourism and local government entities while building relationships throughout the community.

We’re not trying to create division. We’re building a bigger table—and there’s room for you.
