Walker County Chamber of Commerce The mission of the Walker County Chamber of Commerce is to enhance lives through business and tourism. Currently, there are 300 members of the Chamber.

The Walker County Chamber of Commerce, located in northwest Georgia, is a 501 (c) 6 organization comprised of member businesses who have joined to promote the civic and commercial progress of the community. Our mission is to serve the regional community by supporting member businesses and providing networking opportunities. The Chamber of Commerce was established in 1991 when the Chickamauga Chamber of Commerce, LaFayette Chamber of Commerce and Rossville Chamber of Commerce merged to form one county-wide Chamber. The Chamber offices are located at the Walker County Civic Center in Rock Spring, Georgia.

History isn’t just something we preserve, it can become part of how a community moves forward.

The Battlefield Connector Trail connects downtown Chickamauga with the Chickamauga Battlefield, giving visitors and residents a place to walk, bike, explore, and experience an important piece of local history.

The same route once traveled by Union soldiers heading toward the Battle of Chickamauga can now serve as a pathway connecting tourism, recreation, and downtown economic activity.

It’s a powerful example of how thoughtful development can honor the past while creating new opportunities for the future.

Today’s Walker Leadership class is underway!

Our 2026–2027 class is spending the day learning more about the people, organizations and industries that make Walker County such a special place to live, work and do business.

The morning began with leadership development with Jay Neal of LifePoint Leadership, exploring The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth and the idea that our growth is a reflection of our choices.

From there, the class is getting out into the community with visits to Walker Launch CCA at GNTC and the Armuchee Valley Community Center. Then to learn more about the role agriculture plays in our community, Farm Bureau is coordinating a visit to a local farm.

We love that Leadership Walker County isn’t just about sitting in a classroom—it’s about experiencing our community, building relationships and gaining a deeper understanding of the industries and organizations that help move Walker County forward. 🎉

The Walker County Chamber has several events happening this week, and we’d love to see you there. Start with the Rossville Leads Networking meeting, connect with local professionals at LaFayette Leads Networking, then join us in Chickamauga for American Stylist’s grand opening and ribbon cutting.

Experience the sights and sounds of a Civil War encampment, meet reenactors in their camps, learn more about the history surrounding the Battle of Franklin, and watch the battles unfold.

Yesterday we held a ribbon cutting for Story of Hope Ministries , providing community to those who struggle with hurts, habits, and hang ups in Walker County and neighboring communities. Today at 4 PM, we cut the ribbon with Story of Hope at 622 South Main Street in LaFayette.

Story of Hope is a Christ-centered ministry walking with people affected by addiction, incarceration, and life-controlling struggles. Through food ministry, street outreach, jail ministry, and transitional housing, they have served Walker County for years. Today we celebrate the renovation of the Rock House, a new home for people rebuilding their lives.

Come stand with us at 4 PM and welcome this next chapter.
