This Labor Day we recognize, now more than ever, we need America's unions. With growing income inequality and attacks on our contracts and voice on the job, our commitment to standing together in the face of adversity will see us through these trying times.

Here at AFGE what our union and members do has a far-reaching effect across the country. When government employees have the resources and support they need to do their jobs, everyone wins, which is why AFGE remains committed to standing up for our nation, our democracy, and our people.

As we celebrate Labor Day, we are grateful for all of you for being a part of the movement that fights for better pay, benefits, and working conditions.

As we take this day to celebrate America’s workers, we also stand behind a federal employees' decisions to exercise their fundamental human right by joining membership associations and unions across the country.

In a time when workplace demands are rapidly evolving and government employees face new challenges on a daily basis, member associations like NARFE remain a strong advocate for federal workers. And now more than ever, it is important to be a part of one. Fighting for your livelihood should be done with the support of a strong association to ensure your voice is being heard.
