It’s true….His passion is people!! Congratulations on Retirement 🎉

James Lingerfelt worked at the York County Sheriff's Office Detention Center for 25 years. Last night, County Council recognized James on his retirement and many years of dedicated service. Sheriff Tony Breeden said serving in a detention center is a job most people simply can't do. For James it wasn't just a job. "His passion is people," Sheriff Breeden said. We're grateful for his service to York County, and we wish him the very best in his retirement!

Hope is shared one card at a time. 💛

We’re so grateful to Christine Brown and the incredible volunteers who recently hosted a Card Writing Party to create encouraging notes for inmates. Messages of hope, kindness, and support.

Sometimes the simplest gestures can make the biggest impact. A handwritten note can remind someone they are not forgotten, that their future still matters, and that change is possible.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to write, encourage, and pour compassion into each card. Your kindness is reaching farther than you may ever know. Because sometimes hope begins with just a few words.

One of our participants is in need of a dependable vehicle to help her continue rebuilding her life. Transportation means getting to work, attending appointments, staying committed to recovery, and creating stability for the future.

We are looking for a reliable car that can last a couple of years and help provide the independence she needs to keep moving forward.

Heather has officially been invited to speak not only at Moss Justice Center, but now also at Chester County Jail.

This is more than an opportunity—it’s a door opening to reach more people right where they are, to share hope, truth, and the reality that change is possible.

Every conversation, every story, every moment matters. Seeds are being planted, and lives are being impacted before these women even walk through our doors.
