This is YOUR opportunity to have fun being involved on campus and in the community to create a better world for everyone! SEAC-pronounced "seek" -is a grassroots coalition of student and progressive groups, working together to prote
ct our planet and our future.
1) Locally, we're here to help transform the Winthrop area into a more sustainable community through education and collective actions. We are addressing the energy and resources consumed daily as well as the habits, policies, and perceptions which hold the Winthrop area back from being a truly sustainable and more responsible global citizen.
2) Regionally, SEAC works in solidarity with many other non-profit organizations and students around the southeast to fight dirty fossil fuel energy and push for sustainable energy and jobs in the southeastern U.S.
3) Nationally, SEAC's mission is to uproot environmental injustices through action and education. By challenging the power structure which threatens these conditions, students in SEAC are working to create progressive social change on both the local and global levels.
