The Rock Hill Fire Department is proud to announce the promotion of Battalion Chief Anthony Baker to Deputy Chief of Operations, effective 12/15/2025.

Deputy Chief Baker will oversee the Suppression Division and directly supervise the department’s six Suppression Division Battalion Chiefs. With 25 years of dedicated service, he provides exceptional experience and leadership to this role.

Rock Hill's Bravest👨‍🚒👩‍🚒 took on Rock Hill's Finest 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️ on this absolutely beautiful November afternoon. While the score didn't end up quite in favor for the Bravest, a great time was had by all! Great job to all those that played and especially to those that organized this fantastic game!

Congratulations Chief Grant!

Congratulations to Michael (Ben) Grant who was promoted to Fire Chief of the Rock Hill Fire Department. 👏

Grant succeeds former Chief Mike Blackmon, who retired from the City in July.

Chief Grant is a third-generation firefighter with over 22 years of professional experience, including 17 years with the RHFD. 🧑‍🚒🚒

As Fire Chief, he’ll oversee the Rock Hill Fire Department’s 142 employees across three divisions: Fire Suppression, Fire Prevention/Inspections, and Administration. The department operates six fire stations in addition to Headquarters/Rock Hill Fire Museum and the Rock Hill Fire Training Center. The RHFD proudly maintains an Insurance Services Office (ISO) Class 1 rating, the highest rating given to departments, indicating superior property fire protection and emergency response services.
