The Catawba River Art Guild

The Catawba River Art Guild Art workshops, seminars, exhibitions and shows The Guild welcomes artists of all skill levels and all media.

The Catawba River Art Guild (CRAG) was formed in 2008 to support, encourage, and inspire the interest of art and artists in the community through its members by providing programs, fellowship and opportunities for its members. Many of our members are professional artists or have been professional artists their entire adult lives. Others are emerging artists, students and enthusiasts. To date, the

CRAG membership is 84 strong and is steadily growing into the largest concentrated body of practicing artists in York County! The Guild reaches out to the community at large through public presentations, demonstrations and exhibits. Our members have contributed their art work and time to charitable fundraisers and have conducted workshops and art-related activities for children and adults. The Catawba River Art Guild meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month (except the summer months of June and July) at 10 am in the Center for the Arts. Guests are welcome at our meetings, workshops and open studio sessions.

Many of our CRAG guild members have artwork on view at GALLERY 120 in Clover SC as part of their current exhibit Where Imagination Meets Creation. This peaceful marsh landscape painting is by yours truly - KATHLEEN MCDERMOTT, The exhibit will be up through July 23rd, so stop in and see the artwork if you are in the area. Gallery hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 9AM to 3:30 PM, and Thursday 9 AM to 3 PM. Support your local artists.
