We want to give a heartfelt shout-out to York County Council on Aging Director Lauren Giles for the incredible support and generosity shown to our community.

When the MyRide buses were no longer operating, Lauren stepped in without hesitation and agreed to transport our guests from Pathways to the soup kitchen for lunch, and then safely return them to Pathways using the York County Access vans. Lauren also made arrangements for a York County Access van to travel down Saluda Street so individuals could still access Outreach at St. Mary’s or get breakfast at the soup kitchen.

This is a beautiful example of how different agencies can come together to truly care for our community. Because of this partnership, many of our guests are able to receive at least one meal a day and have reliable transportation to access vital services such as IDs, Social Security cards, dental and medical appointments, and the many resources provided by Outreach at St. Mary’s.

We are deeply thankful and incredibly grateful for this kindness, collaboration, and compassion.

We know it's March already, (Can you believe it?!?!), so we've reduced the donation ask to just $15 for our 2026 Fairy Godmothers Calendar.
That's still 10 months of whimsy and magic ahead for you (or a loved one) - and every dollar goes directly to the support of our Meals on Wheels program, helping us deliver hot meals and caring check-ins to our precious homebound seniors.

We only have 53 calendars left! Please consider making your purchase today!

Thanks as always for your kind and generous continued support.

Enormous thanks and gratitude to Mary Thornton and The Giving Porch for their incredibly generous donation of multiple cases of protein shakes for our homebound seniors.

For many of the individuals we
serve, these shakes are more than just a supplement - they are a vital source of nutrition, and on some days, they may be the only "meal" our seniors are able to have.

Thank you, Mary and The Giving Porch, for caring so deeply about our seniors and nourishing both their bodies and their spirits.

It was a pleasure and a blessing to treat our wonderful volunteers to an Appreciation Dinner last night at our Rock Hill Center.
The evening offered laughter, stories, fellowship and fun.
Without these individuals so many of our homebound seniors would be without their lifelines.
This is us, shouting from the rooftops, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.... for your kind and generous hearts. You all truly help us make a difference.
Happy Holidays from YCCOA.
